Why do people compare Hitler with our political leaders?

To the uneducated, "Hitler" is just a stimulus word - meaning "bad". People who make these comparisons probably never read anything about the Hitler of Germany. the idiot right throws "Socialist" or "Communist" around the same stupid way.
