Do you think it's true that people will say the most hurtful thing when in a heated argument?

Could be but i don't think it should be accepted rather it's the heat of the moment thing or not...because it was still meant to hurt another person. There's no excuse for that type of language. I am willing to forgive someone if they said something like that, but I wouldn't appreciate them making an excuse for their behavior when they knew what they were saying.
