Is there some meaning to Proverbs 4:18 that is over and above what it plainly says?

Only if you want to purposely misinterpret it in order to cover up false prophecies by claiming that the previous prophecy was accurate, it just was lacking in "light" so that the meaning of it was not totally clear.
