Your experiences of the contraceptive injection?

I had a great experience with it. I was on the depo shot and received it every three months. I didn't have a period any longer and didn't have to worry about taking pills everyday. Best experience with birth control I have ever had. They say that it makes you gain a lot of weight but, I might have gained 5 lbs. I think a lot of women might use it as their excuse for gaining weight.
