I have the same problem, also an A student and a bit absent-minded. What I do is keep a short list or calendar in my wallet of things I need to do. I check it pretty often and that reminds me. Also, another trick i have if i need to remember something to do is put my watch on my right hand (i wear it on my left normally) and it is a constant reminder that i need to do something. that makes me think and remember better.
