How do I stop my CRT TV ringing?

My 20" (5+ year old) CRT TV emits a just about audible high pitched ringing or buzzing noise. I am concerned long term exposure to this will eventually inure my hearing to it. I notice non-CRT screens do not suffer from this. How can I stop this noise? Would it be economically viable to repair?
