How many valence electrons are found in the outermost energy level of lithium (Li)?
Your Ad Here
Only 1. The first energy level can hold 2 valence electrons, and after that they can all hold 8. Lithium has 3 electrons, so 2 in the first energy level, and 1 in the second.
