My Orange Oranda has developed wen that is very large.?
My Orange Oranda has developed wen that is very large. It is so large that he lays on the bottom and can only swim to and stay at the top for a few seconds. It is obvious that even this is very strenuous for him. His fins and scales are also being damaged from laying on the bottom. It covers his eyes and is so thick his gill movement is restricted. I have read and seen pictures of surgery to trim the wen. I would consider having someone (not me) do this. I have no idea how to find someone to do this or how much it may cost? I have also found info regarding euthanasia. I am very much against this option but it is difficult for my guests and myself to see my beautiful fish suffering. What are your feelings on this option? Thank You
