On sights and seeing?

We humans can see with our eyes, or aided by instruments. A medical doctor may explain in great detail about the mechanics of the eye, but such knowledge is outside philosophy. At best, philosophy may indicate limits to vision such as distance, but how the images go to the retina, how the brain process those signals, is completely outside philosophy.
