Why do some of these fringe parties stand in elections and have "invisible" campaigns?

I don't think it's just the fringe parties I didn't receive one leaflet from anybody or have any callers whatsoever and our district was going to be a close call so I don't quite know what is happening, I think most parties are saving what money they have for a general election as I believe it could be that Gordon Brown calls an election as soon as he can to unsettle opposition. I think you should be grateful not to have your postbox filled up with some of the garbage the NF and others of their beliefs are peddling...,,,
